Grid Force Patch Update - 13/10/2022


The launch of Grid Force was an exciting moment for us, 3 years of hard work came to a conclusion (kind of).

We were expecting a few rough edges here and there, and thanks to our amazing community, we've been able to iterate quite quickly.

Today we have a new patch update with a significant amount of bug fixes, balancing and QoL improvements. Following is the full list.

BUG FIXES:

Temple of the Dream

  • Fixed a bug where saving didn't allow the player to enter the challenge stage
  • Shield and shield regeneration added to egos

Tohora:

  • Fixed Pai's name during a conversation

The Burg:

  • Deedra rerun fixed

Forest of Kin:

  • Fixed the spawning tile for dialogue in Elu's rerun
  • Fixed a bug that would make Pan not be removed from the grid in Valis rerun (Thank you, Pasquale Bambino)
  • Fixed a bug in Narrow Swamps that was blocking characters in 3rd Wave
  • Fixed a bug that made Seke's rerun unplayable
  • Fixed a bug that would cause Pan to face the wrong way and attack the player in a rerun
  • Fixed a bug that would cause "Grid Conquered" to repeatedly show in Valis rerun
  • Losing to Kin will now take you back to the choice made before the fight rather than put you straight back into the fight
  • Fixed a bug that would cause Kin to break if killed in one hit
  • Fixed a bug with Elu and Valis where speech wouldn't trigger

Ascenso Mountain:

  • Fixed Presence variable
  • Fixed incorrect localization in rerun
  • Fixed a bug that made Pina rerun unplayable
  • Fixed a bug that would cause the player to always receive the Light Crest (Thank you Mechpolaris)
  • Fixed a bug that caused Pina to be hit by friendly fire
  • Fixed a squad removal bug in Rosa minigame

Maiden Shrine:

  • Fixed a bug that would block Noiti in Dragon Pearl (Thank you Mechpolaris)
  • Removed Joja's strong attack when she is an ally on a certain path
  • Fixed Bird's tile position in The Silver Mines
  • Fixed a bug that would cause Dorje Training rerun to be unplayable
  • Maiden can now be staggered (Thank you Mechpolaris)
  • It is now possible to replay the dream sequence if interrupted

Dakini Peak:

  • Fixed a broken jump between Chrona and Lynx Mouth stages when reloading the game
  • Ice spawn timer is Path of the Sun has been modified (Thank you Azuria)
  • Prison cell duplication has been fixed (Thank you Azuria)
  • Fixed a bug that wouldn't allow the player to reach the final stage from rerun

Balancing:

  • Balancing update across all The Silver Mines
  • Masks: Requirements for full bar charge reduced
  • The Memory: The Presence has been nerfed in to decrease stage difficulty (Thank you Azuria and Mechpolaris)
  • Dakini Peak: Tatun and Dzotra nerf to decrease stage difficulty (Thank you Azuria)
  • Dakini Peak: Hoa fight nerf to decrease stage difficulty
  • Changes to Hoa rerun fight
  • Ascenso Mountain has received balancing updates across the board to decrease stage difficulty
  • Balance changes across all of Maiden Shrine (Thank you, Staples)
  • Goddess Clea has been nerfed to decrease difficulty in that stage
  • Level Design for Pina's path in Ascenso Mountain has been improved
  • Pina, Ballama and Lady Bush have been nerfed within Ascenso Mountain for better player experience
  • Pina's solo fights in Ascenso Mountain have been improved

Other/All Stages:

  • Fixed final stage variables that forced a certain ending
  • Fixed a bug that would cause squad positions to break the game (Thank you Turtle50UP)
  • Required characters being removed from the squad no longer break the game
  • Multiple small bugs were fixed on the squad selection menu
  • Added Map stage icons for some stages
  • iCUE logo added to the main menu splash page
  • The Presence weak attack is now fixed (Thank you Azuria & Mechpolaris)
  • Balla's strong attack is now fixed Fixed a bug that didn't allow the player to activate masks
  • Fixed a bug where enemies could defend and reflect with a broken shield
  • Fixed a bug where starting a new game would break the game
  • Fixed a bug that would cause the Divinity mask to not show in the Unit Menu
  • Fixed a bug that didn't allow you to change squad members in the final stage
  • Removed navigation diamond from the final stage on stage select
  • Fixed a blind spot on the grid in the final boss (Thank you, Staples)
  • Broken shield UI update for better player experience 
  • Fixed Kala timing on special attack ReverenceToDarkness
  • Fixed a bug that would cause stagger to not trigger on characters
  • Fixed a bug in the guard mechanic that would cause the player to not be able to defend and reflect
  • Fixed stasis bug that would cause a squad member to be lost if they have a debuff
  • Added autosave function within the free-roaming sections of the game
  • Tweaked music mastering within Forest of Kin (Thank you Jamjars)
  • The Red Vignette effect wouldn't reach screen edges in certain resolutions (This is also a fix for the steam deck)
  • New achievement animations and pop-up messages added
